What we stand for

At coach Monty we believe in developing players both as footballers and people. It’s our belief that skills learnt on the football pitch are transferrable to all aspect of life. Some of these transferrable skills.

What our sessions look like.

Our sessions are designed to improve players technical ability and ball competence. We believe players enjoy football most when they have the ball at their feet. Coach Monty session are designed in a way which sees players get the most touch possible per session. The following skills we work on which are at the heart of our sessions.

• 1v1: Drills to develop player attacking skills and defensive capabilities in 1:1 situations.

• Small sided games: Maximises players touches, contacts and movements.

• Dribbling: Isolated dribbling drills to give players a safe environment to improve ball skills with both feet. giving them confidence to use in games.

• Passing: use of passing drills to develop players abilities to use different passing techniques and receiving skills.

• Shooting: A variation of shooting practices and drills to help our players develop good ball striking fundamental at a young age.

• Team Development. Selected players from our junior academy will be invited to represent coach Monty, in games and tournaments.

The environment?

An enjoyable yet challenging environment. Encouraging competitiveness from the players, prompting them to always give their 100% effort. Championing teamwork and sportsmanship shown between fellow teammates and pers. Our coaching team cultivates an atmosphere that brings smiles to faces and enjoyment to all. The players are learning and improving without realising it at times. The one thing we all have in common is we love football, it unites us and brings us all together.

Players in these teams will have three contacts per week, two trainings and one game/game training.
