About Aodhan.

Aodhan is a dedicated and passionate football coach with international experience, having coached in countries ranging from Ireland to Samoa. His coaching philosophy centers on positively impacting the individuals and teams he works with, always striving to help players grow both on and off the pitch.

As a player, Aodhan has represented the first team of South Auckland Rangers and participated in school football at a competitive level. Notably, his school team at Botany Downs Secondary College won the senior men’s league in 2021 and reached the knockout cup quarter-finals. Most recently, he has played for Papatoetoe AFC and, in the past, has trained with teams in Cambodia and with the first team of Arklow FC, which competes in the Leinster League (third division) in Ireland.

In May 2025, Aodhan gained experience at the international level as part of the coaching staff for the Samoan U16 team in a friendly match against American Samoa. He has also coached part-time with clubs such as Onehunga Sports FC and has volunteered his coaching services in Ireland, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

Currently, Aodhan serves as the assistant coach for Auckland City’s U16 team. Deeply committed to his coaching journey, he is in the final stages of obtaining his OFC C Licence and already holds a New Zealand Football (NZF) Junior Level 2 qualification.

Aodhan strongly believes that young players are at the heart of what makes football truly special. With his skills and experience, he finds great satisfaction in witnessing their development and progress under his guidance.
